Here at HandsOn Suburban Chicago, we work closely with volunteers, nonprofits and other community partners to help them make a difference and improve the lives of their neighbors -- not to mention their own lives -- through meaningful service experiences.

Since its founding in 1969, HandsOn Suburban Chicago has grown to become the largest volunteer center in Illinois, making just over 10,000 volunteer referrals in 2008/2009.
Many of these referrals occurred as a part of our volunteer programs, which connect youth, people who are retired or over 55 years old, skilled volunteers, and those fulfilling a court-ordered service term with the opportunity to make a difference in their community. |
