Advanced Volunteer Management Training Series

The Advanced Excellence in Volunteer Management series is designed to take your volunteer program to the next level. The basics of volunteer management will be covered with special emphasis on getting the board of directors, executive director, and staff support for expanding volunteer programs. We will also discuss ideas for collaborating with other organizations and businesses. It is targeted to experienced volunteer administrators or those who need to restructure their current program to meet more community needs. This series must be taken as a complete 2-day course. The topics of the six courses that comprise the series are:

  1. Adapting to New Volunteer Trends
  2. Planning Your Volunteer Program for more impact
  3. Recruiting and Placing Volunteers
  4. Orienting and Training Volunteers
  5. Supervising Volunteers
  6. Evaluating & Advocating Your Volunteer Program
Complete six courses in two all day sessions!
Each participant receives a workbook with resources, copies of the power point slides and templates to support each unit.

When: The next Advanced VMTS series is August 3 & 4, from 9 am – 4 pm with an hour lunch break

Cost: The cost of the Advanced VMTS course is $360 for non-members. TVC and Americorps members are entitled to the special rate of $180, a 50% discount.

Where: All sessions are held at The Volunteer Center of NW Suburban Chicago located at Forest View Educational Center, 2121 S. Goebbert Rd, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.
