BOOK SALE FUNDRAISER

Join us for the Brandise Used Book Sale located at Old Orchard (Westfield Mall) in Skokie to benefit children and adults with developmental disabilities beginning June 6 thru 15, times begin at 10 am – 9 pm. Duties include stacking shelves, boxing up books and assisting customers. 4 hour shifts available Age 18 & over A102 #1932

FAMILY FESTIVAL FUN

Join the fun at the Family Funfest to benefit adult with disabilities from 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 20. Help with set-up, tend a game or be a buddy to an adult with disabilities throughout the day's activities and lunch. Age 16 & over. A20 #1176

SUMMERTIME FUN AT THE PARK

A local park district is in need of assistance for their summer Patio Entertainment held twice a month on Friday evenings June thru August. Volunteers will assist with monitoring the parking lot to helping serve food etc. Age 18 & over A115 #2108

Batter Up!! Palatine Park District is in the need for assistance during a picnic for Little League to be held 8am-4pm Saturday, July 12, 2008 from 8 am – 11am and 2 pm – 4pm. From unloading supplies to tear down help is needed with 2 shifts available. Age 18 & Over. A115 #2105

If fishing is your game, this opportunity is for you! A local park district is in the need for volunteers during a fishing derby held 7:30 am to 11:30 am, Saturday, June 7, 2008. Help record the fish as they are being caught. Age 18 & over. A115 #2104

"WOOFSTOCK"

Calling all dog lovers to volunteer during "Woofstock" at Lambs Farm on Saturday June 21st. Shifts are 9:30am-2:00pm;1:3pm-4:30pm. Volunteers will be helping with assisting during Pet Fashion Show, holding leashed dogs while owners are in the shops, etc. Age 14 & over A41 #1944

FATHER'S DAY BRUNCH

Country Inn Restaurant at Lambs Farm will sponsor Brunch's on Father's Day, Sunday, June 15, from 9:30-3:00. Shifts convenient to volunteers available. Assist with seating guests, bus tables, pour coffee, etc. Age 14 & over A 41 #2079

CHILDREN'S LITERACY

Assist children of immigrant workers at the Arlington Race Track ages 3 to 13 yrs with a literacy & academic program - one or more days, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. weekdays & weekends, June 9 - August 3. Orientation held on 5/27, 7 - 8:30 pm or 5/29, 2 - 3:30 pm. Age 18 & over. A22 #788

PAINT A THON

Community Paint a thon volunteers are needed on Saturday, Sept. 6, rain date Sept. 13. Individuals or groups join the fun to paint the homes of seniors & disabled in the NW suburbs. All supplies provided. Call for details. Age 14 & over. A69 #1535
