HandsOn Network was one of the three groups involved in the creation of the HandsOn Tech program. They provide management and oversight for the program nationally; HandsOn Netowork oversees 24 AmeriCorps VISTA members in 7 cities across the united states.
It is through the AmeriCorps VISTA program of the Corporation for National and Community Service that the HandsOn Tech team is funded. AmeriCorps was one of the three principal organizations involved in the creation of the program.
Google was one of the initial three groups involved in the creation of the HandsOn Tech program. Google has provided funding in partnership with AmeriCorps, training for all of the VISTA members at its headquarters in Mountain View, and on-going support in the form of employees as volunteers.
HandsOn Suburban Chicago agreed to host the Chicago Tech team as one of 8 sites throughout the United States. As such, HandsOn Tech Chicago is based out of HandsOn Suburban Chicago's office in Arlington Heights, IL.
