SAVE: Adopt a Nonprofit Model
An innovative, “Adopt a Nonprofit” component was recently launched as part of the SAVE program. The first pairing was between the Executive Network Group (ENG) of Greater Chicago, a group of over 450 executives in transition and Little City Foundation, a disabilities organization based in Palatine, IL. This capacity building component allows a professional or corporate group to “adopt” an organization by taking on strategic projects that help organizations achieve goals and reach their mission.
The SAVE program prepares organizations for adoption by assessing needs and identifying unique projects such as maximizing fundraising efforts, increasing employee retention and improving work processes. The Adopt a Nonprofit model has great potential to be transformational for any organization, especially during these hard economic times.
“We have 480 people who aren’t working, who are all professionals; a wonderful way to occupy their time in transition is to give back through volunteerism,” Chris Campbell, Executive Director of ENG.
The SAVE program will soon be recruiting new community and corporate partners to be a part of the Adopt a Nonprofit component and national launch. If you are interested in being a part of this exciting new program, please contact Chris Smith at 847-228-1320.
