The Volunteer Center is Offering a New Scholarship to One Local Non Profit

The Volunteer Center of Northwest Suburban Chicago is offering a scholarship to one Chicago area nonprofit that is struggling to achieve its mission in today's difficult economic climate. The scholarship for new members consists of a one-year membership to TVC valued at $360 and includes membership benefits like complimentary professional development trainings, consulting services and volunteer program support. These services will help the organization identify new opportunities to leverage volunteer support. The scholarship will be awarded based on the organization's demonstrated need and commitment to best volunteer management practices. Only organization that are registered 501 (c) 3 are eligible to apply and special consideration will be given to nonprofits involved with any of the following services ares: education, veteran support, environment, animals, disaster preparedness or health. The deadline to apply is Aug. 31.
