Volunteer Recruitment & Referral
In fiscal 06/07, we referred over 15,000 volunteers into the community!

Retired and Senior Volunteer Program
In 2006, we supported approximately 1,000 RSVP volunteers who donated more than 120,000 hours back to their communities!

Community Paint-A-Thon
In the 19th year of this program (September 2006), 27 homes were painted by 562 volunteers.

Make a Difference Day
The service connections we made for 2,305 participants looking for volunteer projects during October 2006 were part of a national effort enrolling approximately 3,000,000!

America Reads Program
Approximately 610 students were served in our local program by 48 volunteers in 15 schools.

Caring Hearts Outstanding Volunteer Recognition Awards & Dinner
The Volunteer Center event recognized 12 top volunteers from a group of 37 exceptional finalists in 8 distinct categories. This recognition event was attended by 220 guests.

Caring Hearts Community Drive
We collected 3,380 items in our 2006 drive, which was distributed to benefit homeless women and children through three area shelters, a well as needy families through Children’s Home & Aid Society.

Helping Hands in Action Community Education Classes
Four free classes were offered to the general public about volunteer needs in the community. Each of the four classes enrolls 15 to 20 participants on average.

Professional Development Workshops
10 workshops were offered last year. Total participation in these workshops was 119 attendees.

Hhomeland Security
In 2006, 33 RSVP homeland security volunteers served 1,575 hours.
