Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP)

Volunteers with the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) are part of a national movement to transform America through the involvement of its citizens. Adults age 55 and over are asked to use their life experience and skills to help their communities and neighbors in need. Your hard work can solve problems, and you'll get back even more than you give.
RSVP offers maximum flexibility and choice to its volunteers. Choose how and where you want to serve - from once a month to over 40 hours a week. Whatever you choose to do, you’ll be helping your community, helping yourself, and saving money for the organizations you serve. You can join thousands of other RSVP volunteers nationwide.
Benefits of RSVP include:
-
One-on-one placement services with our volunteer coordinators
-
Supplemental liability insurance
-
Partial reimbursement for meals and reimbursment for travel expenses (if you need it)
The only requirements are:
-
You must be at least 55 years of age and willing to volunteer in an RSVP agency in northern Cook and DuPage counties
-
You must complete an RSVP Membership Application and submit monthly volunteer hour reports
